Expressing love for our community garden.
As part of our garden and mural club at the Growing Together Garden in Grays Ferry, we worked with families and stakeholders to create a colorful mural about the life, love, and growth that happens there.

At fall garden meet ups, we guided the group to create observational drawings in the garden, and facilitated conversations which led to the themes of love, togetherness, and growth.
Over the next several months, we hosted gatherings in our studio to generate the final artwork by collaging our drawings together. Families gathered again in the summer to paint the mural.
Paramount to this process were the family and intergenerational conversations, welcoming newly immigrated families into the community, and cooking for each other.
